Neighbors

“The working title for the project is Neighbors, a series of short stories about six individuals (DJ Brown Amy, Mike Giant, Elgy Gillespie, Dick Vivian, Fran Martin, and Dylan Bigby) from various neighborhoods in San Francisco. Part conversational interview, part documentary – we get to know the individual in the context of their work and home environments, in order to gain a deeper understanding of their influences on the community.”

Naked SF in 2013

Naked SF was launched in 2012 but unfortunately we had very few posts ever since our launch. We’d like to apologize for that and promise you that this coming year we will be posting at least once a week. This year our posts will be a bit more simple so we wont require them to be full, elaborate pieces or projects. If you happen to stumble upon an interesting character and only have your phone with you, go ahead and take an instagram and hash tag us (#nakedsf) and we’ll post it on our blog! We really hope to spread the word about nakedsf and help our community grow this year so don’t hesitate to talk to people about our awesome blog!!!

On that note I’d like to leave you all with a portrait of a street clown. This video was made by Mike Kepka who works for the San Francisco Chronicle. He has a series called the City Exposed where he showcases San Francisco folk. It’s great, check out his other work, he has many interesting portraits that are shot beautifully.
